Nowadays it’s all about staying home and saving money. And at the same time we have to get creative and think outside of the box to create delicious meals during the ongoing quarantine. This past Saturday I decided to open one of my delicious Brut Rosé from Faire la Fête which is only $20 and is a great value with an excellent flavor and great quality for a non-vintage Brut Champagne.
While I was enjoying my Rose I started to think about how much I missed going to some of my favorite restaurants. I started to think what would go good with this Rose, such as shrimp ceviche, oysters and lobster. And of course I wanted to recreate some of my favorite dishes at home and on a budget, but still get that feeling that I had when I was eating out all the time. However cooking at that moment was not in the cards so I started thinking about my food options and just how hangry I was getting. What could I possibly make or where could I go to satisfy my seafood craving. Then it hit me FOOD TRUCK!!

Of course “Food Truck!” Why hadn’t I thought of this sooner? I LOVE food trucks because their food is so unique, delicious, small chef owned businesses, and usually offer great food at a fair price. I kept thinking of oysters and champagne pairing, so I decided to go to Kiko’s Place Food Truck and ordered some $1.75 oysters. As I was there the food menu looked so temping and I decided to order some shrimp ceviche and a fish taco, for a total of $15 including tip.
To summarize, this was an incredible lunch with a bottle of Brut Rosé with oysters, shrimp ceviche and toped off with a fish taco was only $35. This is a big thumbs up deal. Oh and it was enough food to feed two.
