You may think that there isn’t a good wine that pairs with almost everything, but there is, and it’s called a “Rosé”. The fresh acidity and light body makes it so versatile and easy to pair any time of the year. It’s really a go-to wine with for a variety of foods and appetizers.
One of my favorites to pair Rose with is slow cooker pork ribs which are rich, delicious and so flavorful. Below is a recipe I recently tried and it made for an easy weekend meal that I paired with one of my favorite Rosé Bieler Pere et Fils Bandol Reserve Rose 2018. The recipe is easy to follow and the end result in my opinion makes a better pulled pork sandwich then any I’ve eaten at most restaurants.
You really want a recipe that allows the meat to slow cook. This will allow the rib meat to come out moist and tender so that the meat just falls off the bone. This recipe is so easy and requires just a few ingredients. Be sure to add the ribs to the slow cooker early morning that way you have them by lunch time.

Cooking Notes
- You will want to make the coleslaw while the ribs are in the slow cooker as the coleslaw requires 2 hours of resting in the refrigerator.
- My favorite BBQ rub is Cowgirl BBQ Rub you can find on their website or Amazon. You can also make your own rub, I would recommend using Rib Dry Rub from Food Network.
